Hi Chris

Just received the Jan newsletter in which you ask for views on a future venue.

My own opinion is that the current venue is fine and there's no need to change. The location, access (for me , anyway) and parking are ideal, it's the right size, the acoustics and lighting are excellent and there's always a great atmosphere. There's also plenty of room on the "stage." OK, there's no bar but as most of us drive to the meetings that's not a problem and, besides, it's more than made up for by the tea, coffee and cakes!

Cheers.

Tony

Jackie and I travel up the M4 from Swindon each month and find that the position of the venue is great as we can do the journey in just a little over an hour (M4 permitting). The venue has good layout, sound and acoustics and we think that for the Tuesday meetings at least, there is no reason to change. Maybe another venue could be found for the Sunday meetings and perhaps, as we did the Children In Need in the Reading, maybe something in this area?
Pete.

Hi Tone, Pete

You're right - the Langley venue is brilliant for our Tuesday meetings. However, for the upcoming planned Sunday meetings, we cannot get in there at times which suit folks who attend the club meetings, hence the search for somewhere else for this slot.

A couple of very good places have popped up on the radar in the last couple of days, thanks to a number of club members and Cindy and I will pop along to each of them in the next little while and have a look. We'll let you know what they look like once we've done the survey.

Cheers
Chris
